Dear Residents,
As many of you may have noticed, there has been some damage to the front part of our community, which was caused by a group of wild hogs that entered from the neighboring lot. Unfortunately, this is an act of nature, and it is beyond our control.
We have been proactive in addressing the situation and have spoken with several companies about hog removal. We are pleased to inform you that we have contracted a service, and work will begin as early as this weekend or early next week. This was the fastest turnaround time we could secure.
The process will involve setting up a trap on our property, which will be done panel by panel over the course of about a week to acclimate the hogs to it. Bait will be placed at the trap site to help deter further damage to the front entrance until the trap is fully set. Once the full trap is in place, the trapper will begin capturing the hogs, closing the door once as many as possible are inside. This process will continue for the next month.
For everyone’s safety, please avoid approaching the hogs during this time, as they can be dangerous. Additionally, we ask that you refrain from trespassing along the fence line. The permission granted to us for this hog removal was given to the HOA to work with the cattleman on resolving the issue. It does not extend to free access to the property for residents or others.
While many of you may have seen the hogs from the road, we want to remind everyone that they are not the neighbors’ animals, but it’s always better to err on the side of caution.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
